Description

Binance stands out through its position as the largest cryptocurrency exchange by daily trading volume and its operation of an extensive platform serving users across numerous jurisdictions since its establishment in July 2017.

The company holds regulatory licenses including registration with the Malta Financial Services Authority as noted in the relevant register, along with authorizations from the Abu Dhabi Global Market Financial Services Regulatory Authority for its global platform via dedicated entities covering exchange, clearing and custody functions, effective from January 2026. Additional registrations include those with the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority in Dubai and the Japan Financial Services Agency.

It provides spot trading across hundreds of cryptocurrency pairs, futures contracts, and related services such as custody and conversion tools. Base trading fees begin at 0.10 percent for both maker and taker orders on spot markets, with reductions available through volume tiers or holdings of its proprietary token.

These features have positioned the platform for users engaged in frequent or high-volume cryptocurrency trading who require broad asset selection and liquidity. Its nine-year operational history and multiple regulatory approvals contribute to its established presence in the sector.

Limitations include restricted or suspended access in certain regions, such as the United States and Canada, as well as adjustments in the European Union following the withdrawal of a Markets in Crypto-Assets licence application in 2026. The company has also faced significant regulatory penalties, including a 2023 settlement exceeding $4 billion related to anti-money laundering and sanctions compliance matters.

  1. Solid start for a beginner like me on Binance

    MPolo · · Rating: 7.5 of 10

I only started trading a few months ago and picked Binance because the site looked straightforward when I signed up. I began with the demo account to get a feel for placing orders without risking anything real. That helped a lot since I am still figuring out the basics like how orders work and what different charts mean. The learning materials on the platform were easy to follow even for someone new, and I went through a few of them before trying anything live. Support chat was patient whenever I asked about simple things like setting up my first trade or understanding the order types. They took the time to explain without rushing me.

When it comes to fees and spreads I have noticed they seem fair for the small amounts I trade. The spreads on the main pairs I watch do not add too much extra cost and the fees have not felt like they were cutting into what little I have made so far. Nothing has gone wrong with my account yet and I like that everything is clear once you spend some time on it. I am still learning and sometimes get confused by all the options but overall it has been a good way to start. I have made a couple of small real trades now and the platform handled them without issues I could see. It feels reliable enough for where I am at right now even if I have a lot more to learn.
